1993 EJ2 Honda Civic Coupe -1.5 16v d15-

This is our collaboration project with Mich'el at JDM heaven !

Mich'els Plan is a Super Clean, Show Quality JDM inspired Turbo Coupe, Some really nice features of this project are the Subtle, Electric window converted Manual Doorcards, Smoothed and Shaved metalwork on the body, Custom made Carbon Fibre Decklid with narrowed Import Plate recess and the Turbocharged D15 motor, which she will be running temporarily while her B16 V-tec Turbo is being Fully Built !

This Project started out with a surprisingly clean shell, minor surface rust in the common places on the rear quartes where the drains get blocked, but other than that, A great base.

Most of the work in this build diary is carried out by Mich'el herself, although being New in the Game, we helped her with parts of the Welding, Metal Fab, Composite Work and will be Carrying out Most of the Turbocharging.

We started this project with the Obvious body mods, Aerial removal, Side Repeater removal, Rear Boot Lock removal, Badge and Hole removal and also Cutting out the Rust areas and Fabbing up some fresh plates.

The Slats in the Front Bumper Grill were also removed.

While we were at it, The license plate found a new home in the Windscreen... Temporarily.

One major downside with Civics is their off-roading ride height, So next we graced each corner with Height Adjustable Coilovers and Skunk2 Polyurethane Top Mounts.

This seemed as good an opportunity as any to fit the Coupe's new 16" Rays Replica alloys.

Next up were a few chassis mods: Front and Rear, Upper and Lower Strut Braces, aswell as a 'C' Pillar Brace were fitted.
These massively increase structual rigidity within the chassis by bracing the main suspension points known to flex during Hard Cornering, Accelerating and Braking.

We spent a little time creating some subtle custom speaker mounts in the package tray.
This Fibreglass piece will serve only as a Buck, when finished we will form a mould and create a Carbon Fibre piece.

We also fabricated two plates to weld in each of the front wings to achieve that smooth and blended look.
