Shop Civic Coupe.

This is our Current Shop Car Project !

1994 EJ2 Honda Civic Coupe -d15 1.5 16v-

The overall look is going to be aimed at a Subtle JDM style, Super Low and Super Clean !
Maybe Mix it up with a Few Carbon Fiber Parts, Possibly a Carbon Fiber Roof !
The Decision is yet to be made about the Motor ?, Possibly Turbocharge the Standard d15, or Transplant one of the Turbocharged B16A or H22A Motors sitting around the Shop ?........Decisions ?

It would be nice to say the Plan was to start with a stock untouched Car !.....

Unfortunately, This is not the Case, What we have started with is possibly the Worst Condition, Pre-Modified, Rotten Abortion of a Vehicle ever created !

Who ever previously modified (by which we mean 'Destroyed') this Honda clearly worked in the Dark, and should never have let his Guide Dog work on it !

See first Seven Pictures !

IMPORTANT !!! This is the Base Vehicle, as we Purchased it ! We have NOT carried out any of this work !

After much time spent thinking 'What the Hell have we Bought', We stripped that Fetching Front End off, In place of a 'Standard' Front End from another Coupe we had in the other Shop !

We proceeded to Remove all the Side Trim, as well as any Stickers and also the Rear Boot Spoiler !

As far as Side Trim goes, we decided Not to completely smooth the Sides, but Instead Weld-Up and Smooth the Holes for the Trim and Retain just the Swage Lines !

We were going to Bang a set of Steely's on some Slammed Coilovers and get it on the Street !,.. But......
A Quick Inspection of the Chassis realized we had ourselves a Peach of a Project !

To say it was Rotten, Was an understatement !

What is Unfortunate, Is that unless your willing to Buy an entire, brand new Rear Quarter Panel from a Main Dealer, Which is almost Half of One side of the Car, You cant buy a Chassis Repair Section !

Which Basically means everything has to be Fabricated from Scratch !

With the Rear End now being Completely Rust Free on both sides, And knowing the 'Slammed on the Deck' nature of this Project, The Next step was to completely Roll the Inner Lips of both Rear Arches to allow for Wheel Clearance !

The shape of both rear arches were re-worked, and pulled out to create a subtle Arch Flare, also to accommodate the wheels when riding low !

Considering the Welder was still Warm, It would be Rude to not have removed that Awful Aerial on the Rear Quarter !
